Jeff is the Lead Principal at Hillsdale High School. He received
his Masters of Education, teaching credentials, and B.A. in History from Stanford University and his M.A. in Educational Administration (K-12) from San Jose State University. He taught social studies for eleven years, including five at Hillsdale, before co-founding East Palo Alto Charter High School, under the leadership of Linda Darling-Hammond. Mr. Gilbert earned his National Board Certification and Administrative credential while at East Palo Alto Charter and returned to Hillsdale High School in 2005. Mr. Gilbert coordinates Hillsdale’s partnership with Stanford’s Teacher Education Program (STEP) and was the 2017 recipient of the Alumni Excellence in Education Award from Stanford. Jeff serves as an Advisor in Cusco House and has had three children graduate from Hillsdale.
