Lauren is a native of San Mateo and attended both public and private schools in the area. Her husband, Joe, graduated from San Mateo High School, and together they have two children — Caitlin (HHS Class of ’22) and Ryan (HHS Class of ’24). Lauren earned her BA in Journalism from Pepperdine University, with a minor in Philosophy. She most recently worked in corporate communications for a biotech instrumentation company, which was acquired and is now known as Thermo Fisher Technologies. Her experience totals more than 18 years, including consulting for Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) and Life Technologies. Lauren is a proud supporter of Hillsdale’s Small Learning Communities (SLCs) and is honored to be part of an organization that helps foster the connections that make HHS a unique community.
